The Königsbach-Stein municipal gazette, in its issue of 27 January 2026, says the school offers a chess working group once a week with about 30 pupils from the fifth to the eleventh grade and reports a school chess tournament for more than 120 pupils that the school hosted on a Saturday (the issue does not date that day; 27 January 2026 is the issue date); the school's own site reports its chess working group winning the North Baden school title on 24 and 25 February 2025 (post of 10 March 2025, which gives the year) and its team at the Baden school championships on 21 March 2025 (post of 27 March 2025). The school's working-group page for 2026/27 shows a list, printed as an image, that names a chess working group for grades 5 to K1 without a weekday, and says the working groups start in the week from 5 October 2026.
